Marlene's Urban Bliss was started in March 2009 with a vision to offer quality, affordable custom-made slipcovers for select styles of IKEA furniture and other products of interest.  The slipcover idea developed from a need to have different looks, on a budget, from the same pieces of furniture.  The Klobo was the first and quickly led to the Klippan, Henriksdal and more.  

Marlene is the founder and owner of Marlene's Urban Bliss. She always had the entrepreneurial spirit and dream but found her work in Corporate America too consuming to truly follow it.  In 2009 she learned that she, along with 700+ of her co-workers, were going to be laid-off after a major bank decided to close their office in Georgia.

Marlene turned that life event into this business.  She is a tenacious person who believes in this business and her newly created livelihood.  The road to reaching the goal of many happy customers, offering new products and on-time shipments has been bumpy; but it is a road that Marlene and her part-time assistant are willing to stay on in order to reach those goals and grow this small business.
